I apologize for being so long between blog posts as of late. I was in Chile, with my family during the holiday, and I can tell you: it is hard to think of interesting blog posts when it is 80 degrees and sunny every day.
I came across the following post by Brian Cline. It is simple, precise and to the point. I thought it would be worth sharing.

Two other orders of business:
(1) I really do need help coming up with ideas for new blog posts. PLEASE: If there is anything that you would like to know about which relates to private money, send an e-mail or a comment, and I will do the best to provide a post to respond to your inquiry.
(2) We are really on a roll now. We have plenty of money available for funding loans, and the industry finally looks to be on the right track. If you have any loans that you feel might be a good fit for private money, consider running them by me. Either e-mail me at clay@privatemoneysource.com, or submit a summary of the loan using our online submission form (takes maybe ten minutes): http://www.privatemoneysource.com/loanproposal.php

Clay,
You are probably aware of the new rules in CO and WA, allowing for production and sale of marijuana. We have several clients who are in process of purchasing facilities for growing and are actively looking for interested financing sources. National banks are not in the market at this time due to the Federal prohibition on production and sale of the products, although legal in the state.
I appreciate your comments and response.

Paul,
Great question! We’ve had this come up as an issue (as well). I’ll get to work on putting together a post. Thanks for the nudge.
Best,
Clay
I think hard money loan are definitely worth the hassle if you select the correct source for availing loan!

Hi Mabel,
I agree. There are two conditions that apply: (1) Are your circumstances such that private money offers you an advantage over other forms of financing (and there are many such circumstances in the complex world of real estate)? And yes, (2) Are you using a trustworthy and professional source (ideally one that has a solid track record, and that has come recommended; as with any business, you need to know who you’re dealing with)?
Thanks,
Clay
